Cornelia (Conny) Nussbaum, LPC
Licensed Professional Counselor
Cornelia (Conny) Nussbaum, M.A., LPC, holds a Master’s in Clinical Counseling from Winebrenner Theological Seminary and is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Ohio. Previously, she was a research scientist with a PhD in Immunology, specializing in Psychoneuroimmunology at UCLA and in Germany. She is still passionate about the brain's role in mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual health. Conny has been a certified Grief Recovery Method Specialist™ since 2010.
Conny helps individuals facing various mental health challenges, including trauma, stress, OCD, grief, and bipolar disorder. She addresses issues related to neurodivergence, shame, anger, anxiety, and depression in counseling. Conny is certified in Brainspotting and trained in Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Interpersonal and Social Rhythms Therapy (IPSRT), incorporating mindfulness and DBT-informed methods.
Conny has office hours at both SpringHaven locations and treats individuals, couples, families, and groups. She is married with three children and enjoys family time, gardening, cooking, reading, writing Christian devotionals, and serving in her church’s worship and family ministry.
